There’s an area of swamp land so large and inhospitable that only people who’ve lived in the area for generations know how to survive its harsh conditions. Entirely separate from the amenities of modern civilization, we immersed ourselves as students of the land and its diverse wildlife.

It seemed our eyes could see forever, the views only interrupted by determined forests or the distraction of a lurking alligator. In what seemed like the middle of nowhere, we created sanctuary.
