Position Summary 
 
The AR Specialist is responsible for managing the collection of outstanding accounts and ensuring timely cash applications. This role involves daily invoicing, account reconciliations, resolving customer disputes, and performing account analysis to maintain accurate financial records. 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
 
  • Perform cash applications and ensure all payments are accurately processed.
  • Daily invoicing.
  • Manage the collections process for outstanding accounts, including follow-up communications with customers.
  • Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Investigate and resolve customer disputes in a timely manner.
  • Analyze accounts to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage tax certificates using Avalara to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support overall company objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and customer communications.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects to enhance departmental efficiency and effectiveness. 
 
Requirements 
 
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certificate or associate’s degree in machining or related field preferred 
Basic knowledge of Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. 
Experience with ERP systems is a plus. 
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. 
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
